The follow-up Request for Proposals (RFP) is projected to be shared to shortlisted finalists by Wednesday, July 10.

The RFQ invites architectural and engineering design (AED) firms to submit qualifications for the expansion of the convention center as outlined in component 1 of the KBHCCD Master Plan. This call specifically targets the expansion west of Lamar Street, moving from conceptual to implementable designs. Note that other elements of component 1 are handled separately.

The two-phase solicitation aligns with the City's overarching objectives of fostering equity, sustainability, and economic growth while delivering a world-class convention center that strengthens community ties.

All RFQ responses must be submitted through the City's Bonfire portal by Friday, June 14, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. Pre-proposal meetings and an onsite walking/bus tour will follow the schedule below*, with meeting details posted on Bonfire.
